An important benefit of Ford's innovative SYNC system, the ability for users to quickly and easily download new software upgrades was again in the spotlight recently, as the automaker announced a fresh update designed to allow more customers to take advantage of the system's text-to-speech functionality. The SYNC G1 V3.2.2 software enhancement integrates Bluetooth's Messaging Access Profile, or MAP, which was specifically designed for automotive applications and is on its way to becoming a new standard for the industry.
